For years, I had a quote by Samuel Johnson painted on my fireplace mantel – “To be happy at home is the ultimate result of all ambition.” When my Beloved and I moved to this house, I didn’t paint that on this mantel; I like to think I’ve worked to inscribe it on my heart, but some days I wonder.
Taking a few days to putter and ponder in my own four walls is always fruitful. With my Beloved away for three days, I’ve:
. . . used the china

. . . snipped herbs from the herb clock to root inside (that’s the picture at the top of the post)
. . . decorated the mantel for summer

. . . attended my Circle meeting, where wise women calmly and kindly tell some hard truths (and show tremendous empathy – one member had scrolled my socials to get some reference photos and painted Bebop for me!)

. . . attended a Celtic-themed Eucharist service with poetry and fiddles.

Feed your soul, Divas. It, too, needs nourishment.
