With my Beloved away on a work trip for a couple of days, I have planned my weekend to involve time spent with good friends, good food, and some lovely down time.
This got off to a good start yesterday as a friend and I met for a long-overdue catch-up session at a nail salon. Hers are a beautiful bright pink (with sparkles on her toes!) and my very short fingernails are tidied up and conditioned with a pale lavender on the toes. Deciding that sandals fell into the “need” category (rather than the “want” – summer heat has come with a vengeance!), I browsed for possibilities and filled that gap in my closet.
Back at home, I indulged in making Thai peanut noodles for dinner. I was a little messy with the whisking of the sauce, but clean up wasn’t bad and I was pleased with the results. Try it this weekend – or choose another new recipe that gives you a versatile base. I added carrots, red bell pepper, green onion, cucumber, and leftover chicken, but it could be any number of other combinations.
Enjoy, Divas!
