Right at this very moment, I’m home from work, sitting on my front porch, listening to some brave birdies chirp while what promises to be a strong summer thunderstorm rolls in.
It’s already spattered a little and the wind has picked up, driving away some of the strangling heat and heavy humidity that’s been plaguing us for a few days.
There’s this wonderful sense of anticipation as you catch a bit of the breeze that’s setting the garden wind chimes into motion.
On the way home, I stopped at the sunflower field that’s just inside the NC state line and scrambled to beat the storm to snap a picture – the field is huge with row after row of bright sunflowers marching up and down the hills. It’s incredibly striking to see.
Just look, Divas. Beauty surrounds you.
