100 Days – Update 5!

With this batch of daily paintings, I’ve hit the halfway mark on the 100 Day Art Project! I was working with Easter bunnies for a few days here – all of them are different, which just reminds me of the endless possibilities of art.

I hope you’re enjoying your own version of this – it really is remarkable what can happen when you set aside a little time each day to done something creative. I know I’ve honed my skills tremendously from when I first picked up a brush. I don’t think everything I try is a rousing success – watercolor is HARD! – but I’m far more likely to try new subjects and techniques than before and repetition does help you improve. (Or “practice makes perfect,” you might also say.)

So if you’ve been hesitating, give it a try! Make a list of the supplies you need and resolve that this week, you’ll go get what you have to have to start. It doesn’t have to be 100 days – maybe it’s more practical for you to just do seven, or ten, or five. The point is to get started.

Then keep going.
